1) You must create a new topic/thread with the subject line being your ingame username.
FAILURE TO CREATE A NEW THREAD WILL RESULT IN YOUR REQUEST BEING IGNORED - YOU CAN NOT ADD YOUR REQUEST TO ANOTHER!!!

2) Explain why you were banned if you know why, or at least what reason was provided on your ban message when you attempt to login to the site. We will never use that horrid "The ban hammer has spoken" default message, all bans will include some level of information.

If you were banned automatically for swearing please indicate so so that the logs may be reviewed for the timeframe and nature of the chat - not every automated system is perfect. The settings on it should barely impact regular players, so if it does trigger, the logs will have a more interesting story to tell.

You may have been banned for grief/etc discovered long after you logged out or while online long afterwards and 'doing nothing at the time other than walking around'. We act only with proof on this site, not accusations, so you would not be banned for "doing nothing, just walking around" but instead for some extreme actions of which the evidence had been uncovered.

The act of actually going through the procedure to file a ban appeal will strongly favor reinstatement - having your friends beg and plead your case ingame without posting here will not. We reserve the right to deny appeals for players who exhibit extreme 'troll' behavior or provide indication of being highly demanding of moderator attention if reinstated.

Players who are granted unbanning will still be subject to ingame punishments (jail time, fines, loss of property), but may remain banned from the site for a minimum time duration before being unbanned. Any ban appeals that will be granted may require between 2 and 4 days time to be cleared through.

As of Sept 29 2014, there is a change to the registration process.
All new registered users must now fully acknowledge some core fundamental rules by selecting the right choice during registration. Failure to pick the right choices to the questions will not allow registering.

Therefore, the act of registering will be accepted as your acknowledgement that you are aware of the key core rules: No griefing/stealing/raiding - if you didn't build or plant it, dont touch it, break it, or take it.

Therefore, claiming ignorance of the law on this matter is no longer possible - you may work hard to avoid all the notices at spawn, avoid reading our server rules and guide signs, but, the act of registration binds you to acknowledge these fundamental rules. If you whacked away at the registration page clicking things until you got it to work, and managed to do that without reading the screen -- that is your problem not ours.

Violations of raiding/greifing/theifing from newly registered users as of this time will be taken as absolute intentional violations of the rules, with virtually no consideration given to 'I didn't know" at all anymore.
